Join Us on a Sunday Morning

IMG_0918.JPG

Greenville Church is known for its commitment to caring for our community. One aspect of our mission is our annual barbecue in the fall. We also provide food and support for those struggling, as part of our community ministry, which includes organizing gifts for our local food ministry, The Hope Center, and our global work through Rise Against Hunger.

Our church’s strengths lie in worship, featuring strong music and Bible-based, Christ-centered preaching. We also excel in Christian education through our small groups, such as Sunday School classes, Christian Life 101, and our youth ministry, where we study the Bible and apply its teachings to life.

We are here to win and develop. We win people to Christ, our Lord! We develop everyone through our actions in our work for those outside the church, teaching those individuals to follow Jesus well each day through the Word of God, found first in Scripture and then through the experience of living for Jesus!

I’ve been a pastor for 48 years, and I still grow in my following of Jesus each day! I am already your friend! Would you become my friend and, most importantly, the friend of Jesus and his church?

Blessings,

Dr. John

Minister, Greenville Church

Sunday School at 9:15 am

Worship at 10:30 am

  • What can I expect as a visitor?
As a visitor at Greenville Church Joelton, we strive to make you feel welcome. Upon entering, please pick up a printed bulletin, and a member of our welcoming team will greet you and happily address any questions you may have about the service. Your presence will not be singled out during your time at Greenville Church. As you peruse the bulletin, you'll find an outline of each service, including page numbers for hymns (books are located behind each pew), Scriptures, and reading responses. We are delighted to have you with us!
  • What is a typical service experience?
Greenville's worship services are rooted in the rich traditions of the faith. With sacred hymns, time to share prayer requests, and uplifting messages founded in God's Word, our services offers a prayerful encounter with God’s presence. Join us as we worship in spirit and truth to inspire and renew our faith.
  • Where do my children go during the service?
A nursery is available for infants through two-year-olds, situated in the hallway near the Fellowship Hall and open during Sunday service activities. During the main service, older children are invited to the front of the sanctuary for a children's message before returning to their seats. We affirm the presence of children during worship, and they are always welcome to participate in service activities.
  • May I participate in Holy Communion?
Absolutely. Greenville Church's Communion table is an "open table" for all those who love Christ, repent of their sins, and seek to live in peace with one another, regardless of age or church affiliation. Whether you are a follower of Christ or in the process of getting to know Him, you are welcome to receive Communion. Holy Communion is observed on the first Sunday of each month and other special occasions throughout the year.
  • Do you have activities for students?
Yes, Greenville Church offers a variety of Sunday School classes meeting every Sunday before worship. Visit our About page to learn about each class. Youth have the opportunity to participate in Confirmation class, programs, and other special events throughout the year. Keep an eye on our calendar to stay informed about upcoming events.
  • What makes Greenville Church unique?
Greenville Church Joelton is more than just a building; it is a community of believers who love and care for one another in Jesus Christ. Many generations of families have grown up and raised their families alongside the Greenville Church community. Our services and activities provide opportunities to know and care for the neighbors in your pews, as we "run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith" (Hebrews 12:1-2). As Romans 12:5 states, "So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others."
